Camp La Cumbre

La Cumbre (which means “The Summit”) is a Christian adventure camp located southeast of San José, about a 2½ hour drive away. It is close to Cerro de la Muerte, off the 80th kilometer on the Carretera Interamericana Sur, 6 km down into a valley straddling the Savegre river.

Camp La Cumbre offers lodging for up to 120 campers in its lodge, along with 20 in a chalet. Campers are challenged spiritually through a range of carefully planned and supervised activities such as high and low ropes courses, rappelling and rock climbing. Groups also make use of the camp’s basketball court, soccer court and climbing gym. Surrounded by primary forest in a rustic river valley, the camp offers its visitors a quiet, secluded setting for reflection, for resting and growing in Jesus Christ.
